Grab a front row seat on the beach at Elizabeth Pointe or a cozy rocker with a glass of wine on the porch to watch the fireworks on boats and private homes along the ocean. Or if you feel like venturing out to enjoy the 4th's festivities, there are two notable events. The Red, White, and Deep Blue Celebration and the Hometown All-American 4th of July Celebration are how Amelia Islanders celebrate Independence Day.
The Red, White, and Deep Blue Celebration, held at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia, boasts activities for activities for all ages such as crab races, lawn games, balloon and caricature artists, and live music by The Bama Gamblers. The showcase of the event is a barbecue buffet, filled with American coastal classic dishes. A fireworks display choreographed to music will begin at 9:15 p.m.
Admission to this event is $99 for adults, $33 for children age 5-12. A meal of seafood, bistro steak, fresh local fish and shrimp, hamburgers, salads, sides and a dessert bar are included with this experience. Reservations are requested.
For more information on the Red, White, and Deep Blue Celebration at the Ritz-Carlton, contact The Ritz-Carlton at 904-277-1100. The Ritz-Carlton is located at 4750 Amelia Island Parkway, Amelia Island, FL 32034.
The Hometown All-American 4th of July Celebration is an exciting coastal festival, highlighted by a stunning fireworks display. Open to all ages, the festival showcases a pie-eating contest (because what is more American than pie?), live music, various vendors, and activities for kids. Try your hand at the Uncle Sam lookalike contest or bring rover to the All-American dog contest. There will also be an All-American bicycle ride, with both children and adult divisions.
This event lasts from 5-10 p.m. on July 4 at the Fernandina Beach Harbor Marina. For more information, contact Jay Robertson at firstname.lastname@example.org or 904-310-3361.
