Located on beautiful Amelia Island, "The Pointe" provides everything you want in an oceanfront destination plus a few options that make vacationing during the season of high gas prices a breeze. Stay three nights at the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge and receive a daily buffet breakfast, picnic lunch for two each day and daily bike rental starting at $1,214.00 (based on double occupancy).

Amelia Island is just 13 miles long and 1.5 miles wide, so park your car and take advantage of being able to walk, hike or bike just about everywhere you want to go. Your getaway begins at arrival with a tall refreshing glass of lemonade on Elizabeth Pointe Lodge's wraparound porch. Just settle in one of the rocking chairs and enjoy the ocean view. Social hour is from 6 to 7PM each evening with wine and hors d'oeuvres. Come meet other guests and staff who can help you decide among the island's fabulous restaurants. After dinner, there's always stargazing from the porch or have the stress melt away in your private oversized soaking tub (some with Jacuzzi jets). Day two's adventure begins after a full buffet breakfast in the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge oceanfront dining room. Pick up your picnic lunch and begin a self-guided bike tour around the island. There's bird watching, a visit to Fort Clinch State Park manned with park rangers in period Civil War costume, or head over to the island's historic Seaport of Fernandina. There are over 400 Victorian Era structures to see along with great shopping. Take an afternoon boat tour on Amelia River Cruises or perhaps a horse drawn carriage ride to hear the stories of the past owners in the seaport's Silk Stocking District.

Venture further on day three to the Talbot Islands State Park, just south of Amelia Island. Stop by Kayak Amelia to participate in a paddling adventure on the Intracoastal Waterway or head further south to Fort George Island for a tour of the historic Ribault Club. Eco Motion Tours offers electric-powered Segway tours of the area including historic Kingsley Plantation which dates back to 1814.

Bed & Breakfast Boot Camp - Apprentice Innkeeper Package

Who’s that working behind the Front Desk…it looks like my neighbor! Guests checking in at the award-winning Elizabeth Pointe Lodge may very well be greeted by someone they know. Apprentice innkeepers spend three days working all job positions at the inn in anticipation of making a career change to innkeeping or 'perfecting' their innkeeping skills.

• A demanding one-on-one apprentice program designed for aspiring innkeepers whose current career doesn't allow for an extended on-the-job training program.

• Work all the necessary positions such as rising at 5am to begin breakfast preparation, make beds, learn to keep the books, take reservations, greet guests and and run social hour, just for starters!

• A great way to polish your innkeeping skills or determine if innkeeping is the right career for you.

• Completion of our weekend seminar or custom seminar or prior hospitality experience is a prerequisite for participation in this program.
